Auroville Festival

The Auroville Festival 2025 is a week-long celebration taking place from February 21 to 28 in the International Zone of Auroville. It is an immersive 8 days designed for exploration, expression, and experience of Auroville through a diverse range of events, including concentration, interactive workshops, cultural expressions, and thought-provoking discussions. This festival serves as a platform for artists, thinkers, doers, and seekers from across the world to engage in a unique exploration of Culture, Creativity, Community and Consciousness.
The festival aims to highlight Auroville’s vision of human unity and transformation, offering participants an opportunity to touch upon the aspects of material and spiritual evolution.
Organised annually by Aware, a service unit of Auroville, Auroville Festival is an 8-day exploration of conscious learning, culture, concentration, conversations and collective evolution, commencing with Mother’s birthday on the 21st of February, and culminating on February 28th, Auroville’s Foundation Day. Auroville Festival invites participants to engage with Auroville’s ideas and ideals of action, transformation, collaboration, and progress.

About the Theme: Humility
The theme of Auroville Festival 2025 is “Infineight – Days of Humility and Humanity,” highlighting Humility, one of the twelve qualities of the Divine Mother as described by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Humility is not just a passive quality; it is an active force of receptivity, openness, and surrender that allows individuals to progress on both inner and outer journeys.
In Auroville, humility is seen as the foundation for collective harmony and conscious growth, enabling individuals to move beyond the ego and embrace the greater truth of oneness and transformation. Through the festival’s offerings, participants will explore how humility fosters deeper understanding, compassion, and self-giving, ultimately enriching both individual and collective evolution.
The Significance of Shapes of the Day

Inspired by The Mother’s Symbol, the festival aligns the Four Powers of the Universal Mother that we can aspire and offer, with eight days of the Auroville Festival. Thus, the festival incorporates eight geometric shapes, each representing a unique power and psychological attribute and these shapes are woven into the festival experience as a day theme, and have been a constant of the Aurovfille Festival.
