Auroville’s vision has always been clear: the creation of a City dedicated to Human Unity and conscious evolution. From the very beginning, on February 28, 1968, when the Galaxy Plan was revealed, the goal has been to build a City that serves the purpose of progress. Over the past 56 years, we have seen significant delays, but now, finally, we are witnessing the realization of this long-awaited Vision. The notion that the government is involved in a conspiracy to undermine Auroville is unfounded and misinformed.

Activism is cautioned; unity, study of laws, and legal counsel are urged for informed, responsible action in harmony with India’s evolving global role.

Fear with no Foundation: Recent RAD

In Auroville, where unity, diversity, and harmony are celebrated, recent events have raised questions about the limits of freedom of expression. The fear that motivated the Residents Assembly, RAD, to pass a resolution was indeed unusual, with only two similar instances in the community’s history. However, both of these cases involved actions taken outside of Auroville, and they were far from arbitrary acts.
